Virginia Fly Fishing Report November 2022

It is trout season in Virginia! The state has been stocking since the beginning of October. Many of the rivers are in need of rain, but the tail races and the spring creeks are fishing incredibly well. On a lucky morning, look for some late fall dry fly fishing while the October caddis are on the water. While nymphing either use larger attractor flies or it is time to go small. Most of the bugs in the water just hatched in late spring, and are size 16 or smaller.

If you'd like to take advantage of the best trout fishing of the year, I still have a few dates available in November and December. Come catch the biggest trout of the year!
